The Clippers are LA’s Team Now

Just as I finished writing about the Lakers’ struggles, it seems fitting that the Los Angeles Clippers are on the rise. I went to the Clippers’ game last Sunday against the Knicks, and since that impressive performance, I have paid closer attention to them. Before their loss to the Portland Trailblazers on Tuesday, the Clippers had won five in a row, including impressive wins over the Thunder and the Celtics and are firmly entrenched in the eighth spot in the West with clear direction to the sixth seed, as they only sit half a game behind the Utah Jazz. Lakers have LeBron but need Lonzo

On February 21, LeBron James proclaimed that he would be turning on “playoff mode” with the Lakers struggling to find themselves in the playoff picture. Since then, the results have not been what James expected, to say the least. The Los Angeles Lakers are 2-5 since that comment and now sit 5.5 games behind the San Antonio Spurs for the final playoff spot. Anthony Davis Requested a Trade…

Two days ago, Anthony Davis requested a trade from the New Orleans Pelicans, becoming the biggest name to want out since Kawhi Leonard in the summer. Davis has been a member of the Pelicans for seven years and is eligible to become a free agent after next season. Davis, though, does not seem to want to stay until the end of next season, and he clarified that with his recent request.

Timing is everything.

LeBron is the best leader in sports

I am a lifelong Celtics fan, so it is not hard to come up with a long list of reasons to hate James for everything he has done to stifle my team, but it is undeniable that he is an exemplary leader and that he commands respect. He is the ultimate leader both on and off the court with how he holds himself to a high standard and empowers others to succeed.
